How to fill out the Gallagher Insurance quote form
Gallagher Insurance partners with Instant Risk Coverage for special event liability insurance. Following this document step-by-step when filling out their online form will make it easier for you.
To proceed, click on this link and follow the instructions below: https://gallagher.instantriskcoverage.com/login
You must create your own account first. To do so, click on “Sign up” at the top.
Complete the form and click on “Sign up.”
Then go back to the first page and click on “Log In.” Enter your email address and password.
On the Use of Application Agreement page, click on the links to the policy wording, summary of coverages and exclusions, and read them, noting that there is a Self-Insured Retention (SIR) of $1,500 per occurrence for both Bodily Injury and Property Damage (which is the responsibility of the renter/policyholder).
(SIR definition: A Self-Insured Retention is a specified amount a policyholder must pay out of pocket before their insurance coverage begins, with the Insured managing all claim costs and processes up to that limit.)
Then answer the 2 questions below it. Click “Confirm.”
Fill out Applicant Information (this is the renter of the hall) and then the Venue Information (Valens Community Centre, 1818 Valens Rd., Puslinch, ON, N0B 2J0) > Event type (this will usually be “Non-Sporting Events”) and then Activity (E.g. baby shower, stag and doe, wedding reception or wedding, birthday party, reunion, luncheon, gathering etc.).
Answer the remaining questions.
If you are serving alcohol, you must get the required liquor licence and for the question, “Will the event have alcohol or cannabis being served?,” select Yes – Self-Served Alcohol unless you are having a licensed caterer. If so, select the “Alcohol Served By Venue or Licenced Caterer” option.
For events with alcohol, choose $5,000,000 as the limit of insurance coverage.
For events with no alcohol being served, select the $2,000,000 limit of insurance option.
After selecting the number of people coming to your event, click Next and select your Event Date. Click on “Add One Date.” Then under “Event Start Date/Time” and “Event End Date/Time” set your event’s date and starting time as well as the event ending date and time. Make sure you click on “Set” at the top of the calendar for each of these. Only input the time that the event will be happening. Do not include setup and teardown times, as these are automatically covered in the insurance policy. (Ignore the “Venue Access fields).
Note: If your event runs until after midnight, you have to select the next day in the Event End Date/Time.
On the Review and Submit page, under Other than the entities listed above, is there any other entity which is required to be added as an Additional Insured on the Certificate of Insurance?, answer Yes, and fill in under Full Legal Name of First Additional Insured, The City of Hamilton
And under Address of First Additional Insured – 71 Main St W, Hamilton ON
Answer all other questions. Near the bottom of this section, there is the following question: “If this is for a Corporation and/or Partnership, I agree that I have the authority to bind the Corporation and/or Partnership.” Select N/A.
Click on “Quote.”
If happy with it, click on “Purchase.”
