Volunteer appreciation

Without volunteers, the Valens Community Centre would not exist.
Since its inception in 1983, community members have stepped up, volunteering their time, expertise, and energy to improve the centre and add amenities. Projects have included constructing a pavilion and playground and building an addition for a new, much larger kitchen.

And, of course, community members have sat on the volunteer subcommittee, overseeing the booking of the hall as well as the maintenance of the facility and property. Their actions, big and small, have left an indelible mark on the fabric of our community.

On this page we honour all our current and former volunteers, including those who are no longer with us, who went above and beyond, and in so doing, made this community a better place.

Their spirit and legacy continue to inspire and guide us.
